Wilcom Buyer's Assurance Dongle Protection

Without the security Dongle, that plugs into your computer or server, you will not be able to use your software, so make sure that you have the coverage you need to protect your business.

Buyer’s Assurance is an annual protection policy that will cover your Dongle for loss, theft or damage, giving you the peace of mind you need when making a big investment in your software.

Wilcom’s Buyer’s Assurance is highly recommended for all Wilcom customers; it protects your software and your investment!

Wilcom’s Buyer Assurance is only available for customer who purchase new Wilcom software or update/upgrade to the latest version of Wilcom Software.

Buyer’s Assurance Terms & Conditions

 

1.) How the Wilcom Buyer’s Assurance Works

  • Buyer’s Assurance must be purchased within 30 days of the original software purchase.  Note: This also applies to purchases of Updates and Upgrades, where a new Dongle is supplied.
  • If Buyer’s Assurance is purchased, your Dongle will be timed quarterly.  (Depending upon the region) Note: The timing will only be issued after the receipt of full payment for the software.
  • Buyer’s Assurance fees are paid monthly and require a 12 month commitment.
  • Your 12 month ‘Protection Period’ is valid from the date of purchase.
  • Buyer’s Assurance Holders will be invited to renew their policy 30 days prior to the expiry of their existing Buyer’s Assurance Protection Period.
  • Buyer’s Assurance Holders are covered for any loss, theft, or accidental damage of the dongle that occurs during the ‘Protection Period’. Dongle(s) will be replaced no more than twice a year.
  • Buyer’s Assurance renewal is optional.

 

2.) Processing a Claim

  • A claim must be made within 30 days of the Dongle being lost, damaged or stolen.
  • In the instance that a Dongle claim arises as a result of theft, the Claimant must supply a certified copy of the official Police report describing the events resulting in the theft of the Dongle.
  • In the instance that a Dongle claim arises as a result of loss, the Claimant must supply a declaration explaining the events resulting in the loss of the Dongle.Buyer’s Assurance Policy Holders are required to make a claim by filling out a Wilcom Buyer’s Assurance Claim Form.
  • A deductible must be paid by the customer.
  • Shipping fees must be paid by the customer.
  • Wilcom will send a replacement Dongle within three business days from the receipt of the Buyer’s Assurance Claim Form.

 

3.) Exclusions and Limitations

  • Buyer’s Assurance must be purchased within 30 days of the original software purchase.
  • Buyer’s Assurance cannot be canceled once the ‘Protection Period’ as commenced.
  • Wilcom reserves the right to refuse the purchase and renewal of Buyer’s Assurance.
